I received my license as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in 2021, and have been providing individual therapy ever since. I have been trained in IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy) and EMDR, both of which supported the trauma informed lens that I use in all of my work. I also integrate a holistic approach, highlighting the interwoven nature of physical and mental health.

Next, I completed a two-year Fertility Awareness Educator training in 2023 through the Well School of Body Literacy. My journey into fertility awareness began years earlier, driven by frustration over unanswered questions and concerns about my menstrual cycle. Embracing fertility awareness has given me a profound sense of personal empowerment, wholeness, and self-love. Naturally, I wanted to delve deeper and share these benefits with others. I love supporting individuals transitioning off hormonal birth control, those with irregular or regular cycles, and anyone interested in using fertility awareness for natural birth control or conception preparation. My role is to guide people in understanding their bodies better and viewing their menstrual cycles as allies rather than mysteries.

LMHC, FAE

Hi, I’m Julie! New Englander, dog lover, explorer, and of course therapist and fertility awareness educator. When people ask me how I got into the work I do, I never have a straightforward answer. It has been a decade (so far) of trial and error, healing and self discovery, and a lot of honesty with myself about where my strengths, weaknesses, and passions lie. I started out in music school at Boston University, only to discover that my interest in music was really in the connection with other people. This brought me to Drexel University for a master’s degree in music therapy and counseling, where I discovered my love for working in mental health.
